my first thought was underground bunkers being taken out….(we did not hear or feel anything. that could be because we were all taking a nap…)
“Just heard and felt a giant BOOM … and others heard/felt it more strongly further north/East. It was one single, brief sound, and the jolt of movement was at least as noticeable as the noise.
Any news on that?…..
“Now this is really strange, but about 2 hours ago I heard a boom here in (city 17 miles south). Ya I know I’m a long way from (our city), but if it was a sonic boom it would be heard for a long distance.”
“I live in that Area and my house rattled. Looked around and found nothing. My only thought is sonic boom.”

“We had many comments on a post to (local scanner group) I heard on scanner that a First responder noticed a large black plume of smoke near the end of (local rural street)… basically directly east of where responder was located on (nearby major street). The report had the smoke then moving horizontally near ground level (horizontally??). Then it dissipated. Most reports have it coming from this same area. Someone on (next city over social medida group) posted a pic of the black plume of smoke.”
end result: local police were called to investigate what was described as booms and a plume of smoke. nothing was found.
