I wrote this in 2004 (melody and lyrics). At the time I was feeling blocked and unable to create any real movement in my experience. Given this was pre-child days, I locked myself in my room (I had my own room at the time – music and craft room) and began to create a new wave of songs. They came through me fast and easily. Flow is like that. This song is one of my favorites as it tells, for me, a personal and perfect story of finding Truth in the Silence – when the mind becomes tired of fighting and searching. I hope you enjoy it. Love, Victoria
When writing songs do you compose the music first or write the lyrics first? That’s one of my goals to do, when we shift out of here.
it depends. usually words come to me first but sometimes i will hear a melody first.
Lovely……very soothing….thanks for sharing 🙂 I have been thinking about my music again having had a hiatus for a while and I think I need to get back to it, got so many lyrics written of late and need to get my finger out and start putting some riffs down, after I get my fingers moving again right enough…oh no…the pain!
Cheers

yeah – i hear you! i should do warm ups when i play the piano – but i don’t. i get too excited when i sit down and just want to play. but that age thing kinda reminds me “hey these fingers aren’t 20 anymore”. 🙂
