Still not much into happenings – only if they seem to represent something important. Not much time spent at the computer the past few days. I did read Jonathan Livingston Seagull. I read it in high school but didn’t appreciate it. It was something I was nudged to read a few days ago as I was looking at my bookshelf – it rather “stuck out” for me. As I read, I saw how relevant the story is today: Those still asleep, those afraid to see different and wake out of their matrix limitations – afraid to embrace Freedom and those who risk banishment and solitude (not loneliness) to embrace and pursue an experience of Freedom. As Bach says – the only real law is Freedom and all that supports Freedom – everything else is false.
A man after my own heart. As I read that line I said out loud (to no one in particular) – “See? He gets it!”
Another book that I decided to read ~ Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Another book I (attempted) to read in my youth – saw the movie – twice – and was repulsed and found it absurd. Reading it again the only thing I can “stomach” is Arthur Dent. The double-headed fool and horrid parasitic like aliens – too much like this reality. So I put it aside – and may sell it for I realized this copy I had picked up a few years ago has Douglas Adam’s signature in it – in ink. A signed copy. Anyone interested in owning, make me an offer (contact me via the contact form on the main page). I realize some people love this book and even the movie – just isn’t my “cup of tea”.

I always interpreted it as, aliens are just as messed up as humans.
I also always wondered why the ‘gods’ of ancient days were no better emotionally or intellectually than humans… the Greek ‘gods’ were prime examples. Petty, jealous, hateful, conniving, two faced, war monguering, sneaky, lying, murderous, bastards…amongs themselves, and with their human interactions too… just like the aliens Arthur meets. They have the tech, but are still just like humans.
The Vogons encapsulate the bureaucratic machine, and, the law enforcement that functions from the position of “I was only following orders”… looking at the Tommy Robinson Telegram posts make this so obvious now.
So, if aliens tinkered with our DNA, did they make us more like themselves? I think so. Originally, we were nothing like then, but the viral DNA changed us.
In the book, the Golgafrinchan ‘crashed’, ‘ark’ occupants insert alien DNA into humans, who, until that point, had been part of a computer program built by the Magratheans, for Deep Thought, to express the question it gave the pan dimensional beings (mice), that lead to the answer ’42’.
Postulating that our existance is a created a computer matrix, into which a virus was inserted, altering the final answer.
If the virus (alien DNA) were removed, would we then be capable of delivering the correct question?
If so, then what?
The books after Hitchikers Guide, discuss time travel, game theory (its all cricket), and the fact that Arthur finds his happy place, making sandwiches on an alien world, only to be dragged back into the game by Ford, to find love with a girl who can fly…
I have not thought about those books in years. Maybe a revisit is in order, especially in the light of all the new info. 😊
