lol I begin this piece giggling. I am absolutely NOT a multi-tasker. A bit ago I was unloading groceries, making some fresh fennel seed tea and listening to a voice mail. I called back my friend – put the phone down as I realized I was going to have a leave a message. Without thinking, I walked away and continued to talk – thinking the jar of fennel seeds was my phone and I realized I was talking into it. I remember when I was fresh out of college – ready to take on the world – sitting in front of interviewers in Corporate environments saying YES enthusiastically to my ability to multi-task. Well obviously most of us know today that the human brain was not designed to multi-task with complete efficiency. We are single-taskers – not multi-taskers. And I know this is why “mama brain” is a real thing because we are often forced to TRY to multi-task and often fail miserably at it – which is why it is a common thing to hear the following in this house every day NUMEROUS times: “let mama finish this so I can give you my full attention”.

How are all of you feeling and experiencing today? It was not one of my favorite days or nights. We all had “their” dream skits and we were awoken – again – by loud construction sounds and music. WILL THEY EVER FINISH??!! I don’t get it. The workers are there maybe 2 hours at a time. My mate used to do this kind of work and said it is not the norm. Anyway so add that in to the general feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel of this reality and I was in one of my “I could just SPIT” moods. But we turned it around – each of us – by painting.
It’s a challenge for me now to continue sharing my insights and feeeeeeeeeeeeeels – puzzle pieces and the like – and we. are. still. in. it. The “WHY” is very painful now. The waiting. All of it. On it goes – and we with it – each of us dealing with it on our own way (some completely not having a clue). Compassion for self and one another and realizing we each have our own story here is the best thing we can offer one another. Except for those still wearing the face diapers. Outside. In the sun. On a bike. I just can’t. I just c a n ‘ t…………
