Some finds……………

 

 

Off to binge watch more Heartland.  That show is bringing me solace and pain at the same time – solace in the escape it’s providing – that scenery – ooooh that is where I/we neeeeeeed to live.  The mountains.  The small community – those connections.  And the family around the table – many of them “adopted” family – which is the best can.  My Soul NEEEEEEDS this.

It’s been a day.  Got some creepy type walking past our house regularly.  We know who he is – personally that is.  But he gives me and our girl the creeps.  We’ve felt off about him for over 10 years (he has one incident from his past).  He’s “challenged” – but there’s something off there.  He had stopped walking past our place a few years ago – but then he started up again a couple of months ago.  He makes strange sounds.  Just very creepy.  Mate is going to have a talk with him.  Take another route.

I opened up our new sheets that have been sitting in their original container since March.  Time to finally put on some spring sheets and remove the winter flannels.  Wowser.  Talk about a shock to the nose.  Smelled like someone soaked them in acetone or similar.  I washed them a few times – did the usual borax, vinegar and soap – nope.  So I am returning them and now we have no sheets – well no spring sheets.  I tried not to let it bother me – but it did.  I admit – it got to me.  I had spent weeks at night trying to find cali king sheets that were decent and not over $150 and finally found this otherwise beautiful but apparently toxic as cr@p garbage.  They’re made in India too – first thought was Chyna.  Nope.  I know some people wouldn’t be bothered by such a smell.  We walk past people’s homes all the time around here who use those horrid dryer sheets and perfumed laundry soaps (I make my own blend w/unscented castile soap).  I don’t get it.

Not much of anything now that I “get” – especially the usual lament:  WHY IS THIS TAKING SO DAMN LONG?  Unless it’s like I said and my mate and I both talked about this tonight:  ONLY if it’s due to how long it’s taking to rescue the children – because if this duration is only due to waking up the normies – well a giant fuch that sheot.  I REFUSE to sacrifice a damn thing further for them.  They have proven to be a waste of my personal time on so many levels for so many reasons.

  1. Alaska, the last frontier. All those dark, dark days must make people crazy for them to pass such a law.
    Either that, or they need an insurance policy when the ET’s show up. No one will breathe a word for fear they’ll be hauled off to the mental ward.

  2. Heartland is filmed in my neck of the woods – about forty-five minutes south of Calgary – and I can attest to the beauty of the area: the rolling foothills, the rugged Rocky Mountains!! I often take long drives out there and it does indeed bring solace. I am glad you’re enjoying the series – perhaps when the Canadian Tyranny ends you will be able to visit…
