The House Health and Human Services Committee approved three contentious vaccine-related House Bills. Each of the bills loosens government authority over parental immunization matters. Critics believe the measures may lower vaccination density in the state. Republicans and Democrats split the vote, with Republicans mostly siding with approval.
The first measure of importance, House Bill 2470, allows parents to opt their children out of vaccines without having to sign a state health department form. Committee chairwoman Rep. Nancy Barto, R-Phoenix, who supports and sponsors all three bills, says this measure is about protecting parents from government coercion.
“When a parent only has a government statement that they have to sign in order to qualify for an exemption that they don’t agree with, that is coercion. This allows them to either sign that or make their own statement,” said committee chairwoman Rep. Nancy Barto, R-Phoenix, who sponsored all three bills. “We are talking about a policy decision now for parents and we should attribute the best expectations on parents, not the worst.”
The second measure, House Bill 2472, applies directly to doctors. According to the bill, doctors will need to offer parents an “antibody titer” blood test for their children. The blood test is used to determine if the child needs the vaccine.
The third bill, House Bill 2471, is an informed consent bill that gives parents information regarding vaccine ingredients. Additionally, it explains the vaccine court process, in the event, a vaccine injury occurs.

NFL owner Robert Kraft isn’t the only prominent name—or billionaire– snagged in a Florida prostitution bust.
Others named in the sweeping sex sting include billionaire Wall Street financier John Childs, as well as a former Citigroup president and a president of a Florida Boys and Girls Club, according to reports.
At the same time, WPEC-TV reported Friday that the probe also nabbed three former law enforcement officers in Indian River County.

BREAKING: ‘Robert Kraft Not The Biggest Name Involved’ In Florida Prostitution Case, ESPN’s Schefter Reports
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Friday that New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is “not the biggest name involved” in a prostitution case in South Florida.
“On Friday morning, police in Jupiter, Florida charged prominent New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft — who is worth an estimated $6.6 billion — with soliciting prostitution at a local spa,” The Daily Wire reported. “Local police claim that there is inculpatory video evidence.
Following the news about Kraft, Schefter reported on ESPN’s “SportsCenter” that Kraft is supposedly not the biggest name involved.
“There are people down there in that area I’m told who say this story is going to heat up and get a lot worse,” Schefter reported. “I don’t mean involving Robert Kraft, I’m talking about with all the human trafficking that has gone on down there, I’m also told that Robert Kraft is not the biggest name involved down there in South Florida, and we will see what police turn up in the report.”
“We got 25 names today, there are 175 more names coming,” Schefter later said.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft charged in human trafficking, prostitution sting

JUPITER, Fla. (WRIC) — Authorities have named Robert Kraft, the owner of the New England Patriots, as a person involved in a recent prostitution and human trafficking sting operation in Jupiter, Florida.
According to WPTV, about 100 “Johns” were arrested. Authorities confirmed there is video evidence of all of the men who are being charged.
The women accused of running the sex trafficking ring operated out of local spas advertised as massage parlors, authorities said.

Trump signs the Farm Bill making dog and cat meat illegal in the United States

Groundbreaking victory for animals in the United States and across the world, the “Dog and Cat Meat Prohibition Act” was signed into law by President Trump as a provision of the Farm Bill. The bill was spearheaded and sponsored by the Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation (AHWF), a nonprofit that rescues dogs and cats from the dog and cat meat trade abroad.
The Act makes it a federal offense to slaughter, trade and import/export dogs and cats for human consumption, a practice that was previously legal in 44 states.

New Jersey birth certificates will now include a third, non-binary label come Feb. 1, under a new law that expands transgender rights in the Garden State.
Gov. Phil Murphy signed the Babs Siperstein Bill into law last July.
The new legislation gives parents the option of choosing a gender-neutral or non-binary identity on their child’s birth certificate. It also allows adults to change the gender marker on their birth and death certificates, without proof of reassignment surgery.
“Just because your sex assigned at birth is one thing, it does not necessarily mean that it is something that’s going to be consistent with your gender identity throughout your life,” says Ashley Chiappano with the group Garden State Equality.
