The Fed upped the interest it pays on excess reserves to 1.95% today. This is free money (taxpayer funded) to banks.

The Fed bumped up the interest it pays on excess reserves today to 1.95%. Currently, excess reserves sit at $1.894 trillion.

The math is simple enough. At the current rate, the Fed will hand over approximately $36.93 billion of taxpayer money to banks.

That assumes the status quo, but things will change.

Factors

  1. The Fed is shrinking its balance sheet slowly. That reduces excess reserves the Fed pays interest rates on.
  2. When the Fed hikes interest rates, it also increases the interest it pays on excess reserves.

Trump vexes allies as he calls for Russia to rejoin G-7

editor’s note:  the light calling out the dark once again….

******

The statement comes as Trump was already feuding with Macron and Trudeau ahead of the world leader meeting in Canada.

Updated

President Donald Trump on Friday called for Russia to be reinstated into the group of the world’s largest economies, drawing the ire of both Democratic and Republican lawmakers and further inflaming tensions at the G-7 meeting in Canada.

“Now, I love our country. I have been Russia’s worst nightmare,” Trump said. “But with that being said, Russia should be in this meeting. Why are we having a meeting without Russia being in the meeting?”

His suggestion that the G-7 welcome Russia back into the fold is likely to heighten tensions in Quebec, where the president is expected to meet with allies irate over his decision to impose tariffs on imports from Canada and the European Union. In recent days, Trump has engaged in a war of words with French President Emmanuel Macron and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The G-7, short for Group of Seven, was the G-8 until 2014, when the group’s members expelled Russia over its invasion and annexation of Crimea from Ukraine. The G-7’s current membership comprises the U.S., Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Britain.

“I would recommend — and it’s up to them, but Russia should be in the meeting, it should be a part of it. You know, whether you like it or not, and it may not be politically correct, but we have a world to run,” Trump told reporters. “And in the G-7, which used to be the G-8, they threw Russia out. They should let Russia come back in. Because we should have Russia at the negotiating table.”

Bye-Bye Benz: Trump Planning Ban On Luxury German Autos

Having cornered his European allies over the Iran sanctions, and tightened his grip on the EU economy over metals tariffs, an exclusive report by German magazine WirtschaftsWoche claims that President Trump is taking direct aim at Merkel and is preparing to impose a total ban on German luxury carmakers from the U.S. market.

Citing several unnamed U.S. and European diplomats, the weekly business magazine reported that Trump told French President Emmanuel Macron last month he would maintain his trade policy with the aim of stopping Mercedes-Benz models from driving down Fifth Avenue in New York.

WiWo reports that Trump’s grudge against the German automaker – and especially against Mercedes models in New York – is not new.

In January 2017, prior to his inauguration, he said in an interview, “When you walk down Fifth Avenue, everyone has a Mercedes-Benz in front of their house.” But that’s not reciprocity. “How many Chevrolets do you see in Germany? Not too many, maybe none at all, you do not see anything over there, it’s a one-way street,” said the real estate billionaire.

Although he is for free trade, but not at any price: “I love free trade, but it must be a smart trade, so I call him fair.”

RV Update for 5/23/18

editor’s note:  not that i give the RV/NESARA that much attention as it is another power-over experience (someone else telling us our worth) ~ but i will say that waiting for anything to happen that will bring humanity the relief it so needed yesterday ~ those days are over as Love Acts Now….so this concept is at least better than what we are still experiencing today.  so if it’s a temporary relief until the next step i say BRING IT!!

A Vision for a Gift Economy

The Vision Alignment Project

A Vision for a Gift Economy

Today’s Vision is a bit different than our typical Visions. It was sent in by Kathryn Crosta, and she asks us, What would happen if everyone constantly gave to their neighbors?

Kathryn says:
A gift economy flourishes in Mali, Africa one of the poorest nations on Earth, in materialistic terms. Theirs is a culture of constantly giving to their neighbor, with no immediate expectation of return. Their cultural belief is that by giving, you will also be given to and be taken care of. Hoarding is frowned upon, so people avoid it.

It works in the small villages that dot this vast, mostly arid land. Medical care, education, Social Security and other things that many Westerners think are supposed to be provided by the government are handled on a personal basis and somehow, everybody gets what they need.

What would happen if everyone on earth lived this way?

It would be heavenly – and can easily work in any country, whether the people are rich or poor, in a wet climate or dry, etc. Giving, on all levels, is our collective next step. Thank you for the reminder, Kathryn.

HUGE Breaking News!!! President Donald J. Trump Proclaims April 26, 2018, as World Intellectual Property Day LAW & JUSTICE Issued on: April 26, 2018

Editor’s note:  This is SO AMAZING!!!  All of this suppressed technology to free us up will NOW be much more protected to be released without fear of harm and forms of control on the individual(s).  As DJT said on inauguration day:  “We stand at the birth of a new millennium, ready to unlock the s mysteries of space, to free the Earth from the miseries of disease, and to harness the energies, industries and technologies of tomorrow.”  This proclamation lays the foundation for this.  Perfect.  Beautiful.  As DJT says “something special”.

On World Intellectual Property Day, we not only celebrate invention and innovation, but also we recognize how integral intellectual property rights are to our Nation’s economic competitiveness.  Intellectual property rights support the arts, sciences, and technology.  They also create the framework for a competitive market that leads to higher wages and more jobs for everyone.  The United States is committed to protecting the intellectual property rights of our companies and ensuring a level playing field in the world economy for our Nation’s creators, inventors, and entrepreneurs.

Our country will no longer turn a blind eye to the theft of American jobs, wealth, and intellectual property through the unfair and unscrupulous economic practices of some foreign actors.  These practices are harmful not only to our Nation’s businesses and workers but to our national security as well.  Intellectual property theft is estimated to cost our economy as much as $600 billion a year.  To protect our economic and national security, I have directed Federal agencies to aggressively respond to the theft of American intellectual property.  In combatting this intellectual property theft, and in enforcing fair and reciprocal trade policy, we will protect American jobs and promote global innovation.

While we continue to demand the protection of intellectual property rights abroad, my Administration will also take steps to strengthen our patent system here at home.  A system that increases the reliability and enforceability of patents will encourage even more investment in creative and innovative industries, leading to job and wealth creation for all Americans.  When the United States advances pro-growth policies of this form, we set an example of protecting economic competitiveness, promoting new engines of growth, and prioritizing the expansion of innovative and creative capacities overall.

This year’s World Intellectual Property Day is dedicated to celebrating all of the industrious and brilliant women who have changed, and who continue change, the world with their inventions, innovations, and other creative contributions to society.  Our Nation’s economic strength and prosperity would not be so without the over 75 million women in our country’s workforce, whose ingenuity, initiative, and hard work have helped foster the growth and progress of America’s economy since our formation.  Over the past decade, the number of women-owned firms has grown five times faster than the national average for all firms.  American women are assuming leading roles in health, business and finance, the arts, and the STEM fields.  We must protect the intellectual property rights of these women creators, inventors, and entrepreneurs in order to promote further innovation for years to come.

A new era of American exceptionalism is dawning, in the form of sustained intellectual property rights and continued American entrepreneurship.  The drive for excellence, advancement, and innovation in the United States has brought forth significant discoveries, developed life-saving research, and improved the quality of life for millions of Americans.  On this World Intellectual Property Day, we celebrate the creative spirit and contributions of American men and women, and we acknowledge the necessity of maintaining intellectual property rights for all those enterprising individuals who dare to invent or create something new for the betterment of all people.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim April 26, 2018, as World Intellectual Property Day.  I encourage Americans to observe this day with events and educational programs that celebrate the benefits of intellectual property to our economy and our country.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twenty-sixth day of April, in the year of our Lord two thousand eighteen, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-second.

DONALD J. TRUMP

Research Shows Google’s Search Manipulations Tried To Rig Election For Hillary

Profile picture for user Tyler Durden

Authored by Mac Slavo via SHTFplan.com,

New research shows just how much Google’s search manipulation affects voters when making decisions. During the 2016 election, it was obvious that Google manipulated searches to favor Hillary Clinton while showing disproportionately negative stories about Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders.

And now we know just how effective all that had been, and it almost left us with Hillary as president.

Hillary Clinton may have lost by a substantially larger margin had Google not manipulated the search results in her favor. Even trending negative searches about the corrupt democrat were suppressed. According to an exclusive by Breitbart, the conclusions are based on 16 months of experiments conducted with a total of 1,800 people from all 50 U.S. states. Participants in the study came from diverse ideological backgrounds, including liberal, conservative, and moderate. In order to control prior biases, participants were asked to judge political candidates that they were unfamiliar with.

Israeli Defense Minister: “The Iranian Regime Is In Its Final Days”

Israel’s Defense Minister says Iran is on the brink of economic and military collapse, and that Israel will attack Tehran “and destroy every Iranian military outpost in Syria threatening Israel,” according to Arab-language publication Elaph and reported by Israeli media Thursday.

They know that the Iranian regime is in its final days and will soon collapse,” said Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman, adding “If they attack Tel Aviv, we will attack Tehran.”

Liberman suggested Iran is vulnerable on two fronts, economic and military – and that an American withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal would significantly damage the regime’s economy during a period in which the Islamic Republic is devoting resources to a military build-up in Syria against the West.
“Iran is trying to establish bases in Syria and arm them with advanced weapons,” Lieberman said. “Every military outpost in Syria in which Iran seems to be trying to dig in militarily, we will destroy.”
