North Korean leader Kim Jong Un visiting several Singapore attractions on Monday night SINGAPORE – North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is spending his second night in Singapore on a mini tour that includes some of the Republic’s best-known sights such as Gardens by the Bay and the Marina Bay Sands (MBS) integrated resorts. At around 9.10pm on Monday (June 11), his motorcade was seen leaving the St Regis Hotel in the Tanglin area where his delegation is being housed at, before driving past the Raffles City area towards Marina Bay. Mr Kim, who arrived in Singapore on Sunday ahead of his historic summit with United States President Donald Trump in Sentosa on Tuesday, stopped by Gardens by the Bay first and is expected to also visit the MBS SkyPark or the nearby Merlion Park. At around 8pm, the observation deck of the 57th-storey sky park at the MBS, which offers panoramic views of Marina Bay and the central business district, was closed off to the public, ahead of its usual 10pm timing. MBS staff were seen polishing fingerprints off the glass panels of the observation deck. The Straits Times also saw a heavy security presence comprising MBS personnel and police officers. Mr Kim, who is North Korea’s Chairman of the State Affairs Commission, may also visit other sights such as the Esplanade performing arts centre. The mini-city tour will cap a rather quiet public schedule for Mr Kim on Monday, compared to his officials and Mr Trump. Apart from a meeting with Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana on Sunday evening, Mr Kim has not been seen stepping out of the St Regis hotel in Orchard Road where he and his delegation are being housed at. Attkisson: Reminder: Here’s What Comey Originally Wrote About Clinton’s Emails

In the wake of reports that fired FBI Director James Comey is getting reprimanded for his defiance of authority in his handling of the Hillary Clinton email case, former CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson, who’s become a thorn in the side of the establishment media she once represented, issued a friendly reminder about what Comey originally wrote concerning Clinton’s “grossly negligent” handling of classified information.

In his original draft of his famous press conference announcing his recommendations not to charge Clinton for gross negligence in handling classified information, Comey originally wrote:

There is evidence to support a conclusion that Secretary Clinton, and others, used the private email server in a manner that was grossly negligent with respect to the handling of classified information.

But as Attkisson highlights, Comey’s top subordinates dramatically revised that statement to emphasize the alleged “intent” of Clinton and her team, which is irrelevant in gross negligence cases, and to replace the legal term “grossly negligent” with the less legally charged phrase “extremely careless”:

President Donald Trump on Friday called for Russia to be reinstated into the group of the world’s largest economies, drawing the ire of both Democratic and Republican lawmakers and further inflaming tensions at the G-7 meeting in Canada.

“Now, I love our country. I have been Russia’s worst nightmare,” Trump said. “But with that being said, Russia should be in this meeting. Why are we having a meeting without Russia being in the meeting?”

His suggestion that the G-7 welcome Russia back into the fold is likely to heighten tensions in Quebec, where the president is expected to meet with allies irate over his decision to impose tariffs on imports from Canada and the European Union. In recent days, Trump has engaged in a war of words with French President Emmanuel Macron and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The G-7, short for Group of Seven, was the G-8 until 2014, when the group’s members expelled Russia over its invasion and annexation of Crimea from Ukraine. The G-7’s current membership comprises the U.S., Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Britain.

“I would recommend — and it’s up to them, but Russia should be in the meeting, it should be a part of it. You know, whether you like it or not, and it may not be politically correct, but we have a world to run,” Trump told reporters. “And in the G-7, which used to be the G-8, they threw Russia out. They should let Russia come back in. Because we should have Russia at the negotiating table.”

editor’s note:  anyone see this?  first DJT removes the water, then pence follows.  also of note – melania is there – very intriguing in a trench coat – love the look.  (fema meeting to discuss hurricane season – innocent enough…)  gave me chills and a big smile.  does this mean “off the table” – someone said water in german is wasser – a reference to d. wasserman?  notice how DJT also takes a napkin and places it on his lap.  he is so flipping brilliant in his symbolism and actions.  media is going to be up in a frenzy – msm likely saying “trump steals water at fema meeting”.  could be a troll move of distraction too…  also nice to know we have an actual sitting president who doesn’t answer to the v.p.  body language shows who is in charge….

US President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence’s bizarre actions at a FEMA meeting is the mystery driving social media users crazy.

During the meeting to discuss hurricane season at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) headquarters on Wednesday, Trump removed a bottle of water from the table and put it on the floor. Pence quickly copied Trump and moved his own water bottle to the floor as well.

The strange moment was captured on video, and soon went viral. Social media users were both mystified and amused by the double act, and no explanation has been given for the curious incident.

Inspector General report on Hillary Clinton email investigation to be released June 14, Trump’s birthday

The highly-anticipated inspector general report about the Justice Department and FBI’s handling of its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email server is set to be released on June 14, President Trump’s birthday.

Michael Horowitz, the Justice Department’s inspector general, told Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley that the report is currently under review and certain parts are being classified, but “[m]ost of this process is complete.”

“[W]e anticipate releasing the report on June 14, 2018,” Horowitz said in a Thursday letter to Grassley.

Horowitz also said he will testify before the committee on the report during a June 18 hearing.
