We need a TOTALLY new way of being and living. Some won’t like this (who have no clue what it is like to be priced out of the right to own your own home and land) and others will. Anything the government sticks its hands in always creates some sort of disaster that prompts them to try to endlessly fix it. Problem Reaction Solution. As one who lives in a University City where contractor’s rule (most of them out of state) and put up cheaply made houses (most built all winter where the plywood sits exposed to rain and moisture) anywhere they can and charge $600/room for rent – I can see that loosening up zoning rules can spell disaster in some areas. Personally I don’t like the ‘burbs. I’m ready for rural.

I agree with this. I don’t like it – but I agree. These channeled messages and some of these alleged “patriot journalists” who go on big channels and throw out dates as though they know inside info and some say “according to my sources” but never cite them….well enough is enough. Only a few people know the details and they ain’t gonna share. We just receive enough clues to get an overall picture of the corruption with the promise it is getting cleaned up….

Re the housing…
Recently the town mayor (an ex cop with his head screwed on right), put out a comment on Flapbook, asking whether the town should put a cap on building permits…
In the last 3 years, we have seen a massive influx of folk from CA, NY, and the infrastructure is struggling, the landscape, that people move here to enjoy, is disappearing.
The response was overwelmingly positive, that the town should restrict building permits.
Whether this happens remains to be seen.
Unfortunately, we are in the county, and the county exists only because of the permits it sells, so unless our area is annexed by the town, we will continue to see homes pop up like mushrooms.
