I’LL MEET YOU THERE
(by Greene Fyre) ⬇️
We desperately need one another, right now.
I don’t think it matters which party you’re in when our civil rights are gone; censorship and bigotry is rising; we’re under- or un-employed; our food, water, and air is poisoned; and most of the stuff in our stores is made by slaves or near-slaves overseas with questionable, unregulated materials and almost no environmental and OSHA-type protection oversight. Not to mention that we’re all being surrounded by a toxic cloud of EMF pollution that we totally have our heads in the sand about.
It is urgent we start to get savvy to the ways in which notions of the “Left” and the “Right” are being used in a game good-cop, bad-cop that keeps us from focusing on the things we have in common.
Here’s how it works:
We Need Health Care and Education, and a Basic Income! -wail people on the Left. We need to Protect the Environment!
Sure, Oligarchs respond. Mind if we take away a few rights here and there while we give you that subsidized, cancer-causing GMO corn? You want “free” public education? No prob. You can register for school soon as you’ve agreed to this ever-expanding list of mandatory vaccines — and if our surveillance systems don’t pick up any bad behavior on Facebook. Oh, and you environmentalists – we have a Special Gift for You- a Smart Meter that will bathe you in unimaginable levels of radiation while we track your every minute action and every microwatt of energy you use. Hey, it’s for the Planet, right?
But We Need our Constitutional Rights Restored! Clamors the more-Conservative contingent of the 99 percent.
Sure, the O’s respond. Let’s back off on that spying a bit there, get those vaccine waivers in place – mind if we sell and drill a bit more of the Public Commons to pay for it, (just move those disposable Native American tribes around again), including selling off the very schools and the CDC that you had an issue with there, to private corporations? (Look up what percent of our “public” schools are now owned and run by Google. Look up “the CDC and the Department of Education are private corporations”. I dare you.) Oh, and by the way, the O’s continue. Just look away while we abuse these refugees from the broken economies we’re wrecked. Gotta act tough in tough times, don’t you know.
(FYI, I learned about this specific back-and-forth strategy from Bill Clinton’s mentor, Carroll Quigley, professor at GWU, who taught him this exact process, as well as the ways in which the Oligarchic Elite keep a hand on affairs through their hierarchy of secret groups and societies. Yep, that great Lion of the Left cut his teeth in a den of Globalist conspiracy theory. What are the odds???)
If any of us for a moment catch on to this game, the powers-that-shouldn’t-be are so good at providing us with “options” outside the perceived left and right paradigm — that turn out to be just more cattle chutes back into the rodeo ring. Libertarianism as pushed by the MSM and mainstream parties is astroturf Globalism – the selfish, scarcity-based markets of Malthus and Adam Smith with the fresh green paint of “Let’s all be free to keep what we have and use it to wage economic war on everyone who doesn’t have the resources to defend themselves.” And what about those Green Party candidates who extol the virtues of the Federal Reserve debt-enslavement, re-colored in unicorn-rainbow hues of Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) – summarized as, “let’s just print more Central Bank monopoly money based on nothing, to pay for environmental and social programs!” What could possibly go wrong?
So. Where DOES Left Meet Right, the 99 percent come together?
There are more ways than you might think. The “Left’s “Small is Beautiful, reduce/reuse/recycle” proponents, and the social justice “no trade is free and fair if it’s with countries that don’t treat it’s people justly”, points-of-view, mesh nicely with both Conservative, old-school protectionists who think we need to pull back and get our own house in order, and with religious groups and off-gridders who see that until we withdraw our consent from the system and begin to grow and take care of our own, we’re still all trapped by and feeding the beast of our own enslavement.
The wisdom of the protectionist Conservative Right shows us how to solve the refugee crisis. If we grow our own, withdraw from and stop destroying Mexico and Latin America with NAFTA, which fueled dumping of unhealthy, GMO corn and soy and other inferior US agriculture products subsidized by the US to out-compete local farmers in the countries where it’s dumped, and which has completely destroyed the local economies of these countries and the health of its citizens, they could afford to produce own food again. Those countries wouldn’t be sending their unemployed and starving to our borders. They wouldn’t have to work in the horrific conditions of pennies-an-hour maquiladoras owned by multinational and US-based corporations.
Oh, and let’s stop bombing them, shall we?
Those same Protectionists can join hands with the SJWs and environmentalists in asking, why are we using toxic products that are killing us and our pets, created in inhumane and unregulated and often unsafe conditions, in China? Why are we willingly giving away our own economic power by voting with our dollar for shitty companies and jobs in other countries, rather than good ones in our own, and breathing the horrific toxic cloud China produces as it makes the cheap shit we consume?
Stewardship of our Planet-of-Eden by those who are wise, and righteous — environmentalism and the Bible, holding hands.
Despite what you imagine “the issues” to be, it’s always the same dragon; the abject capture of the global economy by a criminal banking cartel based on debt-slave money created by its central banks and their asset stripping international bodies — the IMF, the World Bank, the UN and its many wolf-in-sheep’s-clothing, Trojan-horse NGOs.
So, liberals who are so very upset (and rightly so) by the refugee crisis at our southern door:
What are you doing about the destruction of Mexico and Latin America by NAFTA? If you’re not looking at our own shuttered factories and poisoned atmosphere and voting with your every dollar for a stronger US economy, you’re just repeating MSM talking points designed to keep us distracted.
I grew up a liberal, East-Coast Catholic, where we joked about the fact that, despite our region’s focus on “education”, Catholics were renowned for never reading the Bible; and in parallel, most Liberals I knew had never read the Constitution. If you’re pointing fingers at the ig’nant Repugnicans for not understanding the Science of Climate Change but you don’t even understand the basics of the Law of the Land which they’re trying to talk about with you — which, like it or not, is based primarily on the Abrahamic codes of the Bible — might you be a bit ig’nant, yourself? How will you reach your hand across the Divide and find our common strength if you’re above this basic education?
On the other side; you on the Right clamoring for jobs and a return to state’s rights, and for a reduction in social programs even as you struggle to survive without dipping into them, yourselves; how can you do a better job of listening to the Liberals and Lefties horrified by the treatment of refugees, the socially marginalized, the gender and cultural misfits and outcasts within and on our borders?
Liberals: turn off the smug, self-congratulatory opiate of NPR. Conservatives; turn off the Faux News.
Let’s walk out into that sunlight field, together, where our lives connect around simple values of honest work, clean, healthy lives, and open hearts.
I’ll meet you there.
