President Trump is signaling support for a new reform bill targeting prison sentencing.
According to administration officials, the legislation would combine the prison reform bill that the House passed in may with four new bipartisan-backed provisions.
The measures cut back on mandatory sentences for non-violent drug crimes as well as sentencing for those convicted of multiple offenses and repeat offenders.
