UPDATE: thank you to Maryelle for reminding me/pointing out to me that if you listen to Dr. Birx speak, her voice is noticeably stressed – as she said “sing songy” like a little girl. as i was typing this up earlier, listening to her speak, i noticed it shaking and forgot to add it into the piece. so take a listen and you will see – this is a woman who is controlled and scared.
